This photo was shot at Badwater in Death Valley National Park in December of 2010. The salt flats were submerged under about 6 inches of water and made for a spectacular reflection pool in the morning sun light. I have never seen the salt flats submerged. I waded about a mile out in the water to set up for this shot.
